Founded in 2003
Ground Thunder Construction, Inc.
is a Charlotte-based commercial concrete contractor. Our extensive portfolio includes many of the buildings that make up Charlotte’s amazing skyline. Ground Thunder is driven by a team-centric approach, focusing on Quality, Service, and Relationships. This model allows us to build strong local teams, who work where they live, and put the utmost pride into the job. Our years of experience means expertise in the following projects: cast and place, tilt-up, large foundations, slabs, site work, place and finish, walls, columns, and specialty concrete. In addition, we provide form-work, rebar placement, anchor bolt positioning, and excavating.

Ground Thunder’s founder Bob Weeks created Ground Thunder Dumpsters Services, Inc.
We service commercial and residential general contractors in North and South Carolina. We offer LEED sorting and 10, 15, 20, and 30 yard dumpsters. Unlike our competitors, Ground Thunder Dumpsters guarantees same day or next day service because we realize that a clean worksite is essential for your business.

Jake Kimble joined the Ground Thunder team and worked with Bob to create Ground Thunder Trucking, LLC, which provides dump trucks, dump trailers and flatbeds for hauling.

Most recently, the team developed Ground Thunder Environmental, LLC, which offers a variety of pest control services for both commercial and residential sites and provides regularly scheduled maintenance treatments.
Together, the Ground Thunder companies work together to provide general contractors with a variety of solutions under a single umbrella. We are proud of what we’ve built and we embrace our responsibility to serve those around us. We take our work seriously, as well as supporting our local communities.
